Spirit Bay Trading Company is owned and operated by Terry Smith, an enrolled member of the "Lake Superior Band of Ojibwe".
Terry's Indian name is Makadeg-ogwun (Black eagle feather). He is a pipe carrier and traditional dancer. Terry was born and raised on the Fond Du Lac reservation in northeastern Minnesota. He takes special pride in his American Indian heritage, passing it on through the teaching of Ojibwe arts and culture and capturing it with his award winning artwork and photography! Terry has used his photography skills to document Pow-wows, and Pow-wow regalia for over 20 years!
